The "King of Waiparous" is a large 36" by 36" acrylic painting of a Wild Stallion who frequents the Public Lands of Ghost and Waiparous just north of Cochrane, Alberta. My boys and I often visit these woods and have frequent encounters with the wild herds who call this area home.
I was inspired by the strong, wild look of this stallion and enjoyed sculpting his mane and details with my palette knives. The highlights of metallics bring this painting to life and it truly needs to be seen to be appreciated.
