I wanted to really emphasize the wooly texture of the Bison hide and how imposing and strong they are.
 
This piece is 30"x48" on 1.5" thick exhibition canvas painted in acrylic with a multitude of different palette knives. I decided to add a little metallic to this piece to emphasize the glow.
 
Bulls stand head first into storms and face predators to protect their herd. They symbolize abundance, resilience, strength and perseverance which are all important themes for me this year as I grow as an artist.
